     Ministry Update
     June, 2010
 Hark, the voice of Jesus calling, "Who will go and work today?
Fields are white and harvests waiting, who
 will bear the sheaves a way?"
Loud and long the master calls us, rich reward He offers free;
Who will answer, gladly saying, "Here am I, send me, send me"?

  • Greetings in His wonderful Name from the mission field of the inner city of Dayton.  We have had a beautiful start of the summer season.  There is excitement about the many special things we do during this time of year and we are looking forward to new opportunities to share the Good News.  We know we have what it takes to lift the spirits of those who are depressed for many reasons and give them joy in Christ.  We ask for a truly blessed summer to glorify and praise God.

  • Summer camp at Camp Jabez in now in full swing.  The first day opened with much excitement and a great deal of fun.  Pray for a safe, learning environment at each camp day all summer long.  Most import to us is the spiritual growth of the youth.  Pray for a deep and lasting spiritual impact upon all of our youth.  We thank Him for the many opportunities at Camp Jabez to reach others for Him. Pray for Sue Clarkston, Camp Director, and our excellent counselors....they have a big challenge but the rewards of lives given to Him are great.

  • We are happy to report that we signed 50 certificates from our adult technology classes at Nehemiah University this month.   Those certificates mean the potential for better jobs and families that will have their needs met.  Summer quarter is filling up with much anticipation of learning many new things to further their career in technology.  Please pray for our volunteer technology staff and the possibility of adding more classes as the need is growing.   We are accepting used computers under five years old for these classes.

  • Please pray for qualified instructors for our Nehemiah Bible Institute.  We would like to find retired pastors or missionaries who would like to volunteer their teaching abilities.  These are 10 week commitments for 1 ½ hour classes once a week.

  • We are very thankful for continued financial support.  We trust that the Lord will touch hearts to supply our needs.  Next month we are looking forward to celebrating 98 years of serving Him as He has provided.  Praise God from Whom all blessings come.

  • We thank the Lord for Bill and Melody of WFCJ Radio and their Annual Bike-A-Thon for the Gospel Mission. They are still taking contributions for their 100 mile ride. You can support us 100% by sending a contribution in support of the bike ride.  Pray for WFCJ's continued ministry to the Dayton area...they have been a blessing for many years.

  • Want to have a great outing and support Camp Jabez?  Check out our web site to see how you can have Camp Jabez for your private use.  You will certainly praise God like we do for this wonderful place to work with youth.

  • We have a continued burden for those who are hardened in the streets.  Only the Lord can soften their hearts and show them the way to Christ.  Because the Word of God will never go forth void; it is our never ending joy to keep on preaching the Good News.  Each day the salvation message goes out....it is far more important than the meal...this could be someone's last day on earth.  Pray for a daily moving of the Holy Spirit to awaken the lost and bring salvation.

  • We thank the Lord for the many answered prayers for the things that we need to operate on this mission field.  Last month the transmission went out on our maintenance truck...it was 20 years old.  So, we are looking for another truck that will hold our tools and go back and forth to the camp.  Pray for our wisdom in finding one.  Perhaps someone has a truck that would work for us and it would be more valuable to the Lord as a donation to the mission rather than selling it.

  • Volunteer painters are needed for outside work on our buildings.  We want our facilities to shine and wonderfully represent our Lord and Savior.  Perhaps a small group or two could paint for His glory. Give us a call.

By His grace,

Ken Clarkston
